What's your kH? Shramps need "kH" (carbonate hardness) to have healthy exoskeleton shells. PH swing isn't great but dunno if that's the only thing contributing. But if you're getting them by mail-order, the 'drop and plop' method is your best bet. If you're getting them directly from a petstore, drip-acclimation is probably better (you get some airline tubing and 'drip' your tank water into their water slowly over the course of 1+ hours).
